The Zillertal High Alpine Road
Van's Place is located at an altitude of 750 meters, directly on the Zillertal High Alpine Road – one of the most beautiful alpine roads in Austria.
Originally built in the 1960s for alpine farming and torrent control, the road was gradually opened to visitors over time. Today, it is easily accessible via several routes.
The Zillertal High Alpine Road delights nature lovers as well as hikers and cyclists alike: breathtaking views, varied routes, and numerous mountain huts make every hiker’s and biker’s heart beat faster. The Hubertus Wildlife Trail is particularly family-friendly.
Road cycling enthusiasts will also find ideal conditions here, with a wide variety of attractive routes that perfectly combine sporting challenges with stunning scenery.

The Zillertal valley has a lot of different summer activities to offer. Whether you prefer it quiet and relaxing or action packed and sporty - everyone can enjoy themselves here on their summer vacation.
Outdoor action park
Only a stone throw away from Van’s Place, you will find an outdoor action park for your summer activities, including obstacle climbing courses, a waterfall and a 180m flying fox. A leisurely walk from our doorstep, through the forest passed the waterfall will take you straight there.

Hiking
There are many hiking destinations in the valley for beginners to advanced hikers, with over 1400 km of hiking trails throughout the Zillertal valley, getting you up-close with nature. Whether themed hikes, walks through mountain pastures, summit climbs or guided tours, we are sure you will find a hike or walk that's just right for you.

Biking
Take a ride through the Zillertal valley on leisurely cycle tracks along the Ziller river or try one of the many action-packed mountain bike routes. Golfing
The Golfclub Zillertal in Uderns offers a 5-star superior golf course for professionals and beginners. With its 18-hole championship course, a large driving range and a total of 35 tee-offs, of which 18 are sheltered. The club also sports a chipping, pitching and putting green.
